Trick or Treat

Didn't have enough time to think of a better concept than this... or to clean up the lines... or to color it... or to make even remotely presentable, but here it is anyway!

If kids are not dressed as Jack Sparrow or Spiderman this year, then chances are they probably couldn't fit into their costumes. Happy Halloween, chubbies!

Week 2 - Polls Closed!

Alright, folks! The polls are officially closed. The winner of this week is... oh boy... it's a TWO-WAY TIE!!!!! GuitarMonster & myself are the tied winners, & since I picked last week's topic, I'm gonna let GuitarMonster choose the next one. Congrats, G.M.! (& kudos to the other submissions, too!)

But, there's a catch... GuitarMonster's topic won't come until NEXT week. Since Halloween is right around the corner, this week's topic is, you guessed it, HALLOWEEN! It can be anything: Frankenstein, vampires, trick-or-treating, pumpkins, witches... whatever! As long as it has to do with Halloween, it's A-OK in my book! Happy haunting!

Cupcake Assassinations

The Hostess Cupcakes guy is trying to assasinate the Drake's duck with a spatula. I 'scanned' this with the webcam on my laptop...so I had to write all the lettering backwards. The 'bumpersticker' on the cupcake says "I Love Hostess", and his thoughts say "Shh...I'm hunting Duck".

It isn't that surprising. They should've known how addictive their cereals are, especially with all the sugar that's in them. They could've just looked on the side of the box, but instead they're here drinking stale coffee & feeling sorry for themselves. Shame, shame.

Halo Results & Week 2 Topic

OK, the votes are in, & the winner of this week is... ME! Conceited...yes. Sad... somewhat. Modest... very.

Since I won this first week, I get to choose the next topic. & after much careful deliberation, I've decided that the topic for Week #2 will be... PRODUCT MASCOTS! It could be your favorite(s) or one of your own design.

Arbiter

Well, it's the Arbiter and this is my attempt at drawing him. I got to say that it's a lot harder than I thought (and it's not even finished). I have tons of practice sketches I've been doing of him to get it right but I'm limited in time so, as you can see this drawing is not done yet. It's also a quick scan (one arm is missing). A lot of detail is missing and I'll work on it and post the finish product some time in the future, who knows when though. I'm tired so, good night.

HALO - First Impression

First impressions are always the most important, & by the looks of it, Master Chief's isn't working out so well.

That's right, our first topic here on Toon Platoon will be... the HALO GAMES! Remember, you can draw anything you want, as long as it's on-topic with the game(s).

& another thing, other than posting your artwork, you cannot post 'chit-chat' stuff on the main page. You can do that in the comments section of each post. & speaking of comments, remember to leave comments on everybody's posts. It's great to get feedback from others.

Here, artwork by myself & other site members will be pitted against each other for artistic supremacy. There will be no cash prizes or shiny awards given... the only award is FUN! (Corny as hell, I know.)
